General Information

Skills in Neon Abyss can be divided into Active Abilities and Characteristics.

Active Abilities

Active Abilities (or Active Items) are attached to certain weapons. They usually cost and in some cases per use.

	Awful Poetry	Damage all enemies in the room. (The higher weapon level you have, the more damage you do.)		2x
	Backup Supply	Get a random bomb.		3x
	Battle Flag	Increase gun's damage in the current room.		2x
	Birthday Balloon	Get a balloon that allows you to fly in the current room.		3x
	Canned Spinach	You are strong enough to lift a box or barrel!		Free
	Chocolate Box	Get a random pickup.		2x
	Energy Drink	Collapse to the ground, causing impact damage.		Free
	Evil Ledger	Drop random coins.		2x +
	Feather Bookmark	Slow down your falling speed.		Free (No cooldown)
	Fin Funnel	Release a set of Fin Funnels.		Free (No cooldown)
	Fire Extinguisher	Dancing in the air.		Free (No cooldown)
	Fishing Pole	Find a pond, kick back and relax. Note: You must find a pond.		6x
	Goblin Unlocker	[Active Item] You can use this tool instead of keys, but it will explode.		Free
	Golden Chip	Try your luck! Randomly change the properties of this weapon.		1x + 10x
	Golden Dice	Refresh all items and pickups in the current room.		5x
	Golden Hits	Upgrade your gun while you're in this room.		2x
	Guardian Light	Accumulate energy by killing monsters or getting hurt. Consume the energy to receive a protective barrier.		Free
	Light Bulb	[Active Item] Hatch an egg immediately.		2x
	Light Diamond	Pure light surrounds you! Be immune to damage for a short time.		2x
	Lunch Box	Store hearts and release them after use. (The higher the weapon level you have, the larger the capacity it has.)		1x
	Mahjong	Replace all items in the current room with random pickups.		3x
	Military Toolbox	Permanently upgrade your weapon level (max lvl 8).		5x + 50x
	Ola! Ola! Ola!	Can't move but unleashes unstoppable power.		Free
	Pale Bottle	Store guard sprites and release them after use. (The higher weapon level you have, the larger the capacity it has.)		1x
	Red Envelope	You get an envelope when monsters die which you can use to get coins based on the number of envelopes you have. (The higher weapon level you have, the more envelopes you can get.)		1x
	Saw Blade	Leave a spinning saw blade.		3x
	Scarlet Bottle	Store evil sprites and release them after use. (The higher weapon level you have, the larger the capacity it has.)		1x
	Scratchcard	Drop some random pickups.		1x + 20x
	Scroll of Alchemy	Drop some random coins.		2x
	Silmaril	Pure light surrounds you! Be immune to damage for a short time.		2x
	Sim Card	Teleport you to a specific location.		Free
	Stopwatch	Slow down time.		Free
	Tea Egg	Spend 25 coins to get an egg.		25x
	The Gavel	Order! Clear all bullets and damage all enemies in this room.		1x + 1x
	Virtual Pet	Get a silver egg which won't ever hatch. The maximum number is your gun's level.		3x
	Virus Program	Get a key.		3x
	Voodoo Doll	Detonate all marked enemies.		1x
	Wave-Particle Duality	Blink a short distance forward.		Free
	Witch Earrings	Drop a crystal.		2x
	Wonderful Lamp	Open all locked chests and doors in this room.		3x
	Wooden Cow	Summon a ladder.		2x
	Wooden Dice	Refresh all the closed chests in the current room.		2x
	Wooden Horse	Summon a wooden barrel.		2x
	Wool Ball	Roll forward a short distance.		Free
	Wrong Formula	Detonate yourself!		1x +

Characteristics

Characteristics are character-specific abilities.

Note: Since the regular version of Wade does not have a characteristic at all, it is excluded from the table below.

	Antipsychotics	Amir	Amir can preview the description of items, however, he loses one heart container on each level. With no heart conatiners, Amir gets the ability to reroll items and weapons. Be carefull, you'll get hurt. Press to use.
	Aquamarine Pendant	Zack	Zack can launch a dash attack after he gathers his power, dealing melee damage to enemies in his way. Hold to use.
	Bandage	Matt	Matt can roll forward a short distance. Press to roll.
	Bear Doll	Saya	Saya has two different battle forms for ranged attacks and melee attacks. After hitting an enemy with her katana, she can slash again immediately mid-air.
	Canned Beef	Wade	Wade can lift up some objects. Press to use.
	Chess Pieces	Ming	Ming can preview the hatching result of the next egg. Also he can use to use.
	Devil Pendant	Zack	Sword Dash gets more powerful with each successful consecutive hit as indicated by the combo counter. Hold at the right time to perform Sword Dash.
	Dog Tag	Lucas	Whenever Lucas kills an enemy with bombs, he will get 1-2 bombs back. The more bombs he carries, the higher the explosion damage.
	Eclipse	Matt	Matt can turn into a neon shadow. Press to use.
	Fighting Knife	Anna	Make a melee attack. Press to use.
	First Aid	Ming	Ming can consume one to revive the last pet that died. Press to use.
	Lighter	Lucas	Lucas can place an unstable mine, which has a chance to explode immediately (or after 3 seconds). Use to place mines.
	Notebook	Anna	Every boss will drop two items, but she can only pick one of them.
	Paper Crane	R-6	R-6 can only use shields, as he can't have any heart containers. He can also preview the description of items without picking them up.
	Rabbit Doll	Saya	Saya has two different battle forms for ranged attacks and melee attacks. Use to switch weapons between the gun and the katana.
	Spinning Top	R-6	R-6 can only use shields. When he is near death, if he cleans the next combat room without getting hurt, he will restore and obtain a random Item.
	Straight Flush	James	James can modify and combine weapons, but everytime he combines weapons, he will take extra damage on hit. Use to combine weapons.
	White Petals	Amir	Amir can preview the description of items without picking them up. He will lose one heart container on each level, and will gain flight when he has no heart containers.
	Wildcard	James	James can carry two guns and switch between them by pressing .
